At GIM, we believe that our responsibility as a management institution isn’t restricted by the boundaries of a classroom. Through our various Centres of Excellence, we try our best to contribute to our community from multiple angles.
Who We Are
The Centre for Social Sensitivity & Action (CSSA) has been created to promote social responsibility within and beyond Goa Institute of Management to achieve the goals of Agenda 2030. CSSA was established in 2013 and acts as a bridge between Goa Institute of Management (GIM) and the society.
Objectives of CSSA
- To incorporate values of equity, inclusivity, and sustainability in all its activities
- To promote and prioritise responsible management education
- To prepare future leaders to respond to complex sustainability challenges faced by business and society
Our Priorities
GIM's SDG Dashboard
CSSA has collaborated with the Director, SDG Dashboard Haub School of Business Saint Joseph’s University to create The GIM SDG Dashboard. CSSA team is currently working with the Haub team to provide data as per the required prototype. The data sheet after Director’s approval was submitted in the month of August’20 to them. After waiting for the development of final SDG Dashboard. We are happy to share that GIM has become the first B school in India to be listed on the Haub SDG Dashboard.
Prof. Sreerupa Sengupta is coordinating the SDG Dashboard and has been in constant touch with Haub School, Prof. Ajit has also given a go ahead for embedding the SDG Dashboard on the GIM website and Mr. Mukesh Kumar from IT has been connected to the Haub team to integrate that to our website. GIM is the first management institute in India to have its SDG Dashboard integrated with its website.

International Partners
University of Leeds, U.K
on a research project entitled Tackling Slavery, Human Trafficking and Child Labour in Modern Business. The project was conducted between 2017-2019 and was related to SDG 8.7 which aims to end forced labour and modern slavery.
AIM2Flourish
a program of the Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit at the Weatherhead School of Management – Case Western Reserve University. AIM2Flourish is the world’s first higher-education curriculum to incorporate SDG. In 2018 and 2019 our students published 65 stories in the program – 12 stories rated as exemplar and 32 stories as strong.
Guiding Principles
Goa Institute of Management is a member of the group of institutions that is committed to implementing the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME). CSSA remains committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative, and to the promotion of responsible management. Since 2015, CSSA has been addressing social and economic goals of sustainable development and facilitating GIM to successfully respond to the goals of Agenda 2030.
