Our SDG Commitment

The United Nations launched the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), otherwise known as the Global Goals. The 17 Goals of Sustainable Development constituted a universal call to action to end poverty, eliminate all forms of inequalities, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. As a higher education institute, we see this as our responsibility to make our future graduates aware of SDGs and encourage them to contribute towards them. CSSA fully endorse the SDG 4.7 that talks about by 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development.

In light of this, we have undertaken some priority SDGs- SDG 3, SDG 4, SDG 8, SDG 10, SDG 12 and SDG 17 as our focus with an ambitious aim of transforming higher education as a force for good.
