Who We Are
The Centre For Social Sensitivity and Action (CSSA) at the Goa Institute of Management (GIM) acts as a bridge between GIM and the external community of which we are part. The Centre for Social Sensitivity and Action (CSSA) at GIM plays a crucial role in inculcating among students values of sensitivity, responsibility, and empathy to enable them to build a sustainable business and society.
CSSA contributes to GIM’s mission of “create knowledge and develop responsible and agile leaders at the forefront of cutting-edge business practices” by inculcating among students values of sensitivity, responsibility, and empathy to enable them to build a sustainable business and society.
Objectives of CSSA
To incorporate values of equity, inclusivity, and sustainability in all its activities
To promote and prioritize responsible management education
To prepare future leaders to respond to complex sustainability challenges faced by business and society

Prof Divya Singhal
Dr. Divya Singhal is Professor in the area of General Management and Chairperson – Centre for Social Sensitivity and Action (CSSA) at GIM. She joined GIM in the year 2006. She has four years journalism experience and almost four years teaching experience prior to GIM. She was a Doctoral Fellow, ICSSR Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and was a recipient of President Guide Award (It is a National Level Award and the certificate signed by Hon’ble President of India.) She currently teaches subjects -Business Research Methods and Lyrics & Management. Her research interests have been in the areas of human development, gender issues, socioeconomics, governance, education, quality management etc.
